Welcome to the first #AlumniCoffeeShop ☕
The Alumni Coffee Shop is a new initiative for #LaoAustraliaAlumni to gather, share, learn and connect with each other.
On Monday morning of this week, Alumni from the #LaoAustraliaNationalScholarships who are living with disability met with representatives from the Australian Embassy, small business and the Department of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) Promotion, Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
Over coffee at @Minnanocafe.km4, the group learned about running small business, related government policies, and discussed the challenges people living with disability can face when starting up a new business. Some of the Alumni presented business ideas and proposals and received valuable feedback from the group.
Australia supports an inclusive Laos, where people with disabilities have equal opportunities and benefit from economic development. We’re hoping that networking events like this will lead to new, successful enterprises!
